Hi! I'm Alison. I'm a comedian. I pay the bills by playing people on TV, in movies and online. I also write words and worry too much. I have an embarrassingly low level of fame where no one knows my name, but they have this feeling that they went to school with me. I like firm handshakes, information, my dog, smart people and the Earth. I'm on Parks and Rec sometimes and VH1 even more. I'm sorry if I once pranked you on MTV. But, c'mon! That was fun, right?
I was retelling this story to someone last night.
When I was a VJ, I got to interview some pretty amazing people, including R. Kelly, who, by the way, was a total gentleman on my show.
But there was one thing I asked him that I’d still like more clarification on. When I asked Mr. Kelly about his cult-hit R&B/Hip-Hop opera Trapped in the Closet, and, specifically, where he came up with the idea, he told me that aliens had come down and given him the idea for it.
Due to time constraints and publicists, we had to move on to further questions, but that answer still haunts me. I’m sorry, what? ALIENS? Mr. Kelly, please, if you read this, tell me more. It was over 2 years ago that we had that interview, and I still regret not finding out more about this! These aliens - When did they come? Did they speak English? Were they cool? Did they walk upright? Wear sneakers? Did they give you the lyrics, or just the general theme? I need to know more.
